IP Policy

  • Ownership of any IP arising out of in-house or sponsored or collaborative research projects will rest with the institute in whole.
  • Joint ownership with a third party is possible only if there is intellectual contribution from the third party.
  • In case of private funding the first right to refusal or exclusive licensing is possible within a certain agreed upon timeframe.
  • Revenue arising out of IP licensing and royalty will be shared between inventor and institute (for details read the IP policy).
